Alimos

The Trachones Stream is an innovative infrastructure project, part of the strong flood protection system designed for the broader area of Elliniko. Through this project, the area is safeguarded against the consequences of climate change, which are already visible around us.

The project for the undergrounding of Poseidonos Avenue spans 1.3 km. The underground section is estimated at 1.15 km, featuring three traffic lanes in each direction. Once completed, the project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion on the coastal avenue, as no traffic lights are planned within the underground segment. By moving this section of Poseidonos Avenue underground, we ensure seamless access for everyone from the park to the coastal front.

The design of the new city’s modern sports facilities includes football fields, an open-air track, a throwing area, an aquatic center, as well as basketball and tennis courts. Our goal is for the sports hub within The Ellinikon Park to become an international landmark for sports, hosting athletes, clubs, teams, and federations from all around the world. The neighboring communities will have direct access to these facilities.

Located near the sports facilities, the artificial lake was originally used for Olympic canoe-kayak events in 2004. Today, the area is part of the construction site of the Metropolitan Park. Once fully reconstructed, the lake will be refilled with water, transforming the space into a freely accessible oasis of beauty and relaxation. It will also serve as a unique route for pedestrians and cyclists.

This neighborhood represents LAMDA’s residential vision for the future. Our goal is to establish it as a new model of high aesthetics for homes and retail spaces. The residences in Little Athens will have direct access to both the sea and The Ellinikon Park. The development includes a total of 1,100 residences, retail stores, and leisure spaces.
