The projects that may affect Glyfada

The Riviera Galleria is a real gem of the Athenian Riviera. This impressive seaside shopping destination in the new city of The Ellinikon, is set to offer high-end shopping, fine dining, and entertainment experiences. It will feature 95 stores, including world-renowned brands. The striking wave-like canopy designed by the famous Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, evokes the image of sailing sails, harmonizing perfectly with the marina’s natural setting.

The Integrated Resort Complex at The Ellinikon is a Joint Venture development between GEK Terna and Hard Rock International.

The project will include a five-star hotel, an exhibition and conference center, a cultural event space, as well as a venue for sports and entertainment events and a casino.

As part of the development of the Ellinikon Coastal Front, the Agios Kosmas Marina is being upgraded in both capacity and services. The new infrastructure will accommodate even larger yachts up to 80 meters, strengthening its prominent position on the global marine tourism map. Upon completion of the first phase of The Ellinikon, the marina will feature 337 berths.

To reduce disruptions and traffic congestion caused by concrete transportation, LAMDA Development has partnered with TITAN Group and Lafarge Beton to produce ready-mix concrete plants on-site within The Ellinikon site.

As a result, long-distance deliveries and the movement of heavy vehicles through residential areas is minimized. Meanwhile, the environmental impact associated with transportation is reducing significantly.

The natural flow of the Airport Stream, formerly known as Evryalis, is being restored. An innovative infrastructure project, part of the strong flood protection system designed for the broader areas of Elliniko and Glyfada, guarding against the consequences of climate change.

The Evryalis Airport Stream is being demarcated, clearing its riverbed and restoring its flow through the park, transforming the local ecosystem and the surrounding area.

Similarly, the construction work for the new Trachones Stream is progressing.
